A total of 6,453 students from Pasay City’s public schools recently received financial assistance from Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano for their studies.

The P3,000 cash aid was given to students from Timoteo Paez Elementary School, Pasay City North High School Tramo, as well as those enrolled in the alternative learning system.

The financial aid will be given to students until September 21.

Data from the local government showed that nearly 50,000 students have received cash aid from Calixto-Rubiano this month.

In a statement, the mayor said the money is aimed at helping students cope with their daily expenses as they continue schooling despite the pandemic.
