QC partners with Chavit Singson’s telco to boost digital payments platform
The Quezon City government has partnered with the company owned by Narvacan, Ilocos Sur Mayor Luis “Chavit” Singson to further enhance its digital platform in the community amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gracia Telecoms turned over on Monday, September 14, nine Automated Payment Machines (APM) to the local government. They will be installed in selected barangays across the city’s six districts and in strategic areas within the City Hall Complex.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said the APMs will make digital transactions easier for residents.
“Sa pamamagitan nito, mababawasan din ang face-to-face transactions sa City Hall na makapipigil sa pagkalat ng virus,” she said.
Gracia Telecoms will provide debit cards for free to residents, which they can also use to make online payments and purchases and withdraw money, among others.
