COVID-positive Revilla rushed to hospital after developing pneumonia
Administration Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. has been brought to a private hospital after developing pneumonia, days after he was tested positive for the deadly coronavirus disease.
Revilla’s wife Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla broke the news on her official Facebook account on Tuesday afternoon.
“Father God please help my husband. He is being rushed to the hospital,” Mayor Lani said.
Mrs. Revilla disclosed that the 53-year old senator “has developed pneumonia” based on his latest x-ray result.
According to Mayor Revilla, “isolation in a regular facility is no longer ideal” for his husband who was tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus last August 9.
“Hospital care badly needed. Father we lift him up to you,” Mayor Lani said.
Revilla was the fourth member of the Senate to contract the dreaded disease in the midst of the global pandemic, after his colleagues Senate Majority Floor Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri, and Senators Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara and Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III. (JCC)
