Under City Ordinance No. 2020-109, violators will be meted out penalties of P300 for First Offense, P500 for Second Offense, and P1,000 for Third and Subsequent Offenses. For minor violators, a stern warning will be given for the First Offense, while withdrawal of scholarship grant from the local government or P300 for non-grantee for Second Offense, and P500 for Third and Subsequent Offenses.
Members of Muntinlupa National Police Force (PNP-Muntinlupa) and Barangay Chairpersons and personnel, including Public Order and Security Office (POSO) will spearhead the enforcement and implementation of the ordinance.
The Muntinlupa City Health Office (CHO) reminds the public of the proper use of face masks by covering the nose, mouth, and chin altogether.
The CHO also advised that wearing face masks is not an alternative to physical distancing or hand hygiene and that the public should still observe such health protocols.
