Walang babayaran! Toby Tiangco urges Navotas residents to get tested for COVID-10
Navotas City Toby Tiangco has urged residents to join the city’s free community testing for COVID-19.
Starting July 22, Navotas will increase the number of residents sent daily to Palacio de Maynila swabbing center from 300 to 1,000. Target participants included close contacts of COVID-positive patients and those who volunteer to be tested.
The city will also hold a lockdown swab testing on July 23-25 for 3,000 residents. Among the priority participants are senior citizens, pregnant mothers, minors, and persons with disability.
“We highly encourage everyone to get themselves tested. Think of it as your simple contribution in our fight against COVID-19. By participating in the swab test, you also protect yourself and your loved ones,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.
Residents interested to avail the free swab test must fill out the case investigation form downloadable from Navoteño Ako, the city government’s Facebook page. The form, together with a copy of a valid ID, must be submitted physically or via email to their respective barangays.
The barangay and the City Health Office will check the completeness of the documents, and notify the residents of their swab test schedule.
Residents due for testing must bring their valid ID, wear mask, and practice social distancing and other safety measures.
“We are grateful for the help of our national government, especially Sec. Vince Dizon, and the Philippine Red Cross. They have allotted 18,000 test kits for Navotas. We will strive to use all these so we could get a clearer picture of our COVID situation and carry out the appropriate response,” Tiangco said.
