Toby Tiangco bans all minors in Navotas from stepping out of the house

As the popular line goes: bawal lumabas.

Mayor Toby Tiangco is tightening the rules in Navotas after the city reported a spike in cases for the next two weeks. Although Metro Manila will remain under general community quarantine, the politiko is taking a hardline stance for the city by imposing a localized lockdown.

Those below 18 years old are banned from stepping out of the house 24/7, unless they are out to enroll for the new school year or is responding to an emergency situation.

“Pag hinayaan ng magulang o guardian ang kanilang anak na gumala, tumambay o maglaro sa labas, papatawan po sila ng sumusunod na parusa,” the politiko said, revealing fines from P1,000 to P4,000 and a possible jail sentence.
