State of the art! Isko Moreno, Honey Lacuna break ground for new Ospital ng Maynila

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna led on June 24 the groundbreaking ceremony of the P2.3-billion new Ospital ng Maynila.

The 10-storey hospital has a total floor area of 29,951 square meters, a capacity of 384 beds with 12 ICU units and 20 private rooms, a three-storey parking building and a helipad.

Its construction is part of Moreno’s 10-year plan to revive Manila by constructing infrastructure projects that will transform the nation’s capital into a “vibrant” and “energetic” city.

Moreno vowed that under his administration, the local government will consistently invest to provide better tools, equipment and facilities for the city’s healthcare workers.

“No matter how good our healthcare workers are, if they have limited tools na hindi naaayon sa hamon ng panahon, mahihirapan po sila. I won’t mind investing billions for their equipment,” he said.
