Payback time! Isko Moreno gives P100K tax credits for hotels, inns housing frontliners

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno will give a P100,000 tax credit to all hotels, motels, inns, apartelles and lodging houses which accommodated medical frontliners amid the COVID-19 crisis.

At a recent meeting with local government officials, Moreno said the city council will pass an ordinance formalizing the grant of tax credits.

He said he will immediately sign the ordinance once approved.

The mayor said the P100,000 tax credit is a simple “token” from the city government to thank the places of accommodation for frontliners.

Business permits and licenses office chief Levy Facundo said 19 places of accommodation became temporary shelters for medical frontliners since Metro Manila was placed under lockdown in mid-march.
