Alfred Vargas said drivers of public buses, jeeps and other modes of transport need to have better job security.

The Quezon City congressman believes the way to ensure steady availability of public commuting relies on professionalizing driving, which meant removing the boundary system so that drivers can actually focus on providing good service.

“1 of the best options for the gov’t to address the daunting problem of supply of public transport is SERVICE CONTRACTING. Investing in this is investing in the economy,” the politiko said. “This can ensure that transpo is adequate while not increasing the health risk & protecting the livelihood of many.”
