Pantawid sa Covid: Navotas releases senior citizens’ pension
The city government of Navotas continues to distribute the pension of around 13,000 elderly residents.
The beneficiaries receive P3,000, representing their pension from January to June.
Some will also receive their unpaid benefits last year.
“We are thankful that our senior citizens will now get their much-awaited pension. This will augment their budget for their daily sustenance and medical needs,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.
“However, we would like to remind our dear seniors pthat we are still under community quarantine and it is dangerous for them to go out. If possible, let your children or those not vulnerable to the virus, claim the pension for you. We want you to stay safe in your homes,” he added.
The payout is scheduled until June 29 in locations nearest to the beneficiaries or their representatives.
Those claiming the pension on the senior citizen’s behalf need to bring an authorization letter, original and photocopies of the beneficiary’s OSCA ID, original and photocopies of their own valid ID, and a photo with the beneficiary holding a 2020 calendar.
