Got buns? Toby Tiangco hands out more flour to Navotas bakeries

Think of this as a new form of ayuda.

Mayor Toby Tiangco wanted to look after the health of Navotas residents and make sure they could still afford a healthy and filling meal all the time. His nifty solution of getting local bakeries to sell their bread cheap appears to be working, so he’s on to keep this project going on as the quarantine stretches.

Each bakery got a whopping 15 sacks of the ingredient, which they should be using to make cheap pandesal, monay, and loaf bread. The generous heaps is actually from San Miguel Corp., who donated P1 million worth of flour.

It’s baking time!
