Jaime Fresnedi puts Sucat compound on 2-week lockdown due to COVID-19
Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi has ordered a two-week lockdown of Sitio Pagkakaisa in Sucat due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the community.
The Extreme Localized Community Quarantine (ELCQ) started on June 13 and will continue until June 26, 11:59 PM.
As of June 17, Muntinlupa City Health Office recorded 17 confirmed cases with 4 recoveries in Sitio Pagkakaisa Zone 3 Interior, one of the city’s highest among local communities. CHO has also observed clustering of cases in Zone 3 Interior as the area is congested and houses are close to one another.
Muntinlupa CHO chief Dra. Teresa Tuliao said all active cases from Sitio Pagkakaisa Zone 3 Interior are confined in Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) for observation and treatment.
Tuliao noted that the local health office has conducted a mass testing in the community and intensified its detection, isolation, and treatment strategies.
She added that the 37 probable cases from the compound are now isolated in the barangay isolation unit and quarantine facility in OsMun for monitoring and observation.
The local government has provided relief food packs to cover all meals and other basic supplies during the effectivity of the lockdown.
