Camille Villar calls out slow info campaign on gov’t loans for SMEs
Camille Villar is asking Filipinos to buy more local products to help ailing businesses bounce back.
The Las Piñas congresswoman asked residents to support small businesses and appealed to government to make it easier for them to secure loans so they can recover their operations and sales. She said there seems to be a problem in running Small Business Corp., the facility granting loans to businesses.
“The role of SB Corp. is very important in jump-starting our economy because more than 95% of businesses in the Philippines are MSMEs so we really need to help them. I believe they are the most affected,” Villar said.
“With regard to disseminating information, parang hindi masyadong maganda ‘yung awareness about this program which is very helpful sana to our constituents,” the politiko added in a statement.
Loans can be as much as P500,000 for SMEs with bigger asset size.
