Inuman na! Isko Moreno lifts Manila’s liquor ban
The long wait is over – but don’t go out partying just yet.
Mayor Isko Moreno may be one of the last to cave, but the politiko has announced that the liquor ban in Manila will be lifted starting Monday, June 8. Alcohol-thirsty residents can finally quench their three-month thirst for alcohol, but the politiko still had stern warnings.
“Selling to minors and drinking in public places are still prohibited under existing laws and ordinances,” Moreno said.
Drink from home and you’ll be fine. No tables and chairs along the streets for now!
