Shopping at Greenhills tiangge? Here’s what to expect
Several changes have been made to the Greenhills Shopping Center to ensure shoppers’ safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora conducted an on-site inspection of Greenhills Mall and the recently reopened tiangge on Thursday, June 4, to ensure the management and the tenants abide by the rules under the general community quarantine.
A “no facemask, no entry” is strictly implemented to avoid the spread of the virus. Upon entry at the mall, people are asked to observe physical distancing as they go through the security and temperature check.
Footbaths have been placed at the entrances of the mall. A brand-new metal detector with a built in thermal scanner has been installed. Visitors are also expected to sanitize their hands upon entry with alcohol dispensers at all entrances.
Floor markings have been placed to guide people with the proper physical distancing and to remind them to always observe health protocols.
Stalls, shops and offices within the mall have also been required to post the maximum number of people allowed inside.
Roving Health and Safety Protocol Officers have also been employed to remind and implement physical distancing and other protocols.
Major changes in the tiangge layout were also implemented. Stalls were divided into clusters of four. Each stall had plastic coverings between them and on the entrance. Only one sales person and one customer is allowed.
Sales persons and mall staff are required to wear a mask and a face shield. They must also wear their Health Clearance and Travel Pass at all times.
