Pateros stats expert says Alan Peter Cayetano doesn’t really represent them. Here’s why

Pateros residents rejected Alan Peter Cayetano in the 2019 elections, this statistics professor pointed out.

UP Professor Peter Cayton, PhD used his math skills to explain why exactly he is denouncing how the House speaker voted for the anti-terrorism bill, saying he was not actually representing the municipality of Pateros, which has been lumped with Cayetano’s Taguig district.

“Naiinggit ako sa ibang distrito, yung representante nila, nag-#JunkAntiTerrorBillNow na. Paano kami, Speaker of the House representante namin. Siya pa yung kunsintidor. Hindi naman siya ginusto ng Pateros,” Cayton said, showing the vote tally among his kababayans back in May 2019.

Cayetano’s contender Arnel Cerafica won by a 33 percent margin, edging the politiko by over 5,000 votes.

Should Pateros residents lobby for a separate district come 2022?
