Just keeps getting better: COVID-19 recoveries in QC surge past 1,000

The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in Quezon City has exceeded 1,000 as of Thursday, June 4, the local government said.

Data from the QC-Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (ESU) of the QC Health Department shsowed that 1,026 patients have recovered from the virus.

Mayor Joy Belmonte said the rising number of recoveries is a “welcome and significant development” in the fight against COVID-19.

“Full credit goes to our frontliners who have put their lives on the line. We thank them for their great sacrifice for our residents and for our city,” she added.

The QC-ESU, headed by Dr. Rolly Cruz, said the key to the high number of recoveries is the swift testing, tracing and treatment of possible COVID-19 patients.
