Rex Gatchalian gets emotional as Valenzuela moves to GCQ

What a journey it has been!

Mayor Rex Gatchalian had strong feelings as Valenzuela and the rest of Metro Manila moves to general community quarantine by June 1, hoping that there will be no spike in COVID-19 cases in the city.

It’s also his opportunity to look back and thank people for everything that went right in his city.

“As the MECQ period comes to a close, would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who helped us carry the load these past 2months and half…thank you to all the donors who came to the city’s aid,” the politiko said. Whether its material goods or time that you brought to the Alert Center, please know the city is so thankful for your generosity. For all those that prayed hard for our city, salamat sa inyo.”

As the rules are eased, Gatchalian only hoped for residents to remain careful to avoid catching the disease.

“Tomorrow when GCQ starts, Valenzuelanos ipakita natin ulit na Ang Valenzuela May Disiplina!,” he added.
