Pasay Councilor Moti Arceo says sorry for outburst after chat with Emi Calixto-Rubiano

Pasay City councilor Moti Arceo has apologized to members of the city health office, whom he cursed and shouted at for holding COVID-19 rapid tests at the session hall.

Arceo said sorry to the city health office employees during a three-hour closed door meeting with Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano.

“My outburst on that day was because of shock and my fear of the virus and its transmission,” he said.

Arceo said he would also issue a written apology to the health workers.

The councilor was caught on video lashing out at the health workers for allegedly failing to get the city council’s permission for using the session hall for COVID-19 testing.

Calixto-Rubiano said the resolution of the row between Arceo and the health workers showed “professionalism at its best.”
