Ruffy Biazon questions first wave of COVID cases

Ruffy Biazon still couldn’t move on with the Department of Health’s inaction.

The Muntinlupa congressman was quite surprised to suddenly hear Health Secretary Francisco Duque III say that the country is now experiencing a second wave of cases as they consider the three Chinese tourists confirmed in January as the first wave.

Biazon thought this was BS, as it seemed that DOH didn’t give those incidents much importance and urgency.

“Yes I distinctly remember those cases. I raised a question on those cases in a Congressional hearing. Back then, they didn’t consider those cases as sufficient to trigger raising our public health alert…in spite of the presence of the virus in the country,” the politiko said.
