‘Di pa makaka-shopping! Malls in Taguig closed for weekend despite modifed ECQ
Malls in Taguig will remain closed for the weekend, May 16 and 17, even if Metro Manila is now under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) and certain businesses have been allowed to reopen.
The city government said in a Facebook post that it will be working together with mall owners “to establish protocols and guidelines for a safe city.”
Malls which will remain closed are those owned by the Ayalas, SM, Megaworld and Vista Land.
Supermarkets and other essential businesses in malls operating during the ECQ will remain open.
Malls have been allowed to reopen under MECQ subject to the observance of social distancing and health protocols.
