The Luzon quarantine and the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic got TV stars and actors realizing the faults of the Duterte administration.
Showbiz icons joined thousands of enraged citizens in calling out the shortcomings of this government.
Kim Chiu and Angelica Panganiban quickly went viral as they called out the NBI’s move versus Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto.
Like what?????!!!!

Wala silang mapag initan. Si mayor vico talaga? Kung sino pa may natutulong at maayos na sistema, siya pa kakasuhan? HANEP! So far kasi yun palang nagagawa niya. Ikalat ang virus. Mapapamura ka na lang pala talaga.

Like, seriously? Is it because he makes everyone else look bad at their supposed job?! Unbelievable. Pwede ba kayong magpaka busy sa ibang bagay?! Busy si Mayor. Tantanan nyo naman sya, please! Dami pa nyang gagawin. #OnlyInThePhils #ProtectVico pic.twitter.com/erOaKIpfHZ

Teen stars also called out the double standard favoring Senator Koko Pimentel, who broke all protocol even he had the symptoms and eventually tested positive for the coronavirus.
Or yung isang Mayor, marami daw po kasi naghahanap sakanya. https://t.co/kcNdSvd5Qw

Oh so si Koko, ano na? Bakit si Mayor Vico?

Focus on whats really important: HELPING THE PEOPLE THROUGH THIS CRISIS.
Let Mayor Vico do his job (which he is doing so well already 👏🏻)

Anong kagaguhan to? At nasan na yung 200B?!? Ito talaga inuna???? https://t.co/px6Gak6C0B

Even Angel Locsin, who once endorsed Pimentel, turned against him.

Anne Curtis and Enchong Dee chimed in, reacting to the unrest in Sitio San Roque, Quezon City which left poor families starving during the lockdown.
They need help now, more than ever. Gutom sila… they were left with no choice.. and I’m sure doing this for their own families that they have to feed..

If our govt wont act fast, no one can stop a starving population from looting, rallying, or fighting for what they deserve. It’s only a matter of time. Not being a pessimist but we’ve seen this incident happen all over the world. Govts exist to fully serve the people. #Ideally https://t.co/6JQ4nmjBFx

Many like Gab Valenciano and John Arcilla were quick to denounce President Rodrigo Duterte and his men.
There’s corruption, then there’s pure idiocy. It’s one thing to steal our money, another to put your own people at risk. Disappointment isn’t the word. Disgust would be more appropriate. Step down, sir. Or we will do it for you.

This pandemic showed us how unbelievably embarrassing our government is.
Please. Vote wisely next time.
