‘Di lang pampamilya! Abby Binay orders food packs given to Makati students
Families are not the only beneficiaries of food packs from the local government of Makati City amid the enhanced community lockdown due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Mayor Abby Binay has ordered the distribution of food packs to public school students to ensure they remain well fed even if they’re on break from their studies.
A total of 81,995 food packs are allotted for public school students of Makati, from preschool to senior high school. The recipients include special education students.
Among the barangays where the food packs have been distributed include San Antonio and La Paz.
Each food pack for elementary school students contains two packs of raisins, five single packs of instant oatmeal, one sachet of cheese, a box of hotcake mix, one box of arroz caldo mix, two boxes of champorado mix, one pack of full cream milk, 12 packs of tonic food drink, two single packs of chocolate cereals, two packs of biscuits and chocolate flakes cereal, a 10-piece pack of crackers and stick biscuit, 10-piece pack of choco bite-sized biscuit and one 18-piece pack of fruit flavored jelly.
Meanwhile, high school students will receive six packs of instant oatmeal, one sachet of cheese, one box each of hotcake mix and arroz caldo mix, two boxes of champorado, one pack of full cream milk, 12 solo packs of tonic food drink, 10 single packs of crackers, eight packs of pancit canton, and two small cans of pineapple tidbits and pineapple juice.
