Walang penalty! Vico Sotto extends deadline for tax payments by 2 months


Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto has extended the deadline for tax payments by two months in light of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.

In a Facebook post, the Pasig City Public Information office said deadlines for all monetary and non-monetary obligations in favor of the city falling from March 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020 shall be extended for two months from the time it is due.

Taxpayers do not have to pay penalties if they pay their taxes before the extended deadline, the local government said.

Among the taxes due to the city government are real property taxes, business taxes, transfer taxes, amusement taxes, franchise taxes, garbage and inspection fees and rent for Mega Market stall holders.

Meanwhile, the non-monetary dues that must be paid to the city hall include: validation of sanitary permit and CENRO environmental permit to operate, submission of certified list of professionals, and calibration sealing of instruments of weights and measure.
