Abot agad! Manila distributes 40K food packs to residents under home quarantine
In just 48 hours, the local government of Manila distributed close to 40,000 food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to residents staying at home under the enhanced community quarantine.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno gave credit to DSWD, the social welfare and development office and the police for the speedy distribution of 39,364 food boxes.
“Salamat Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, napakaswerte ko po na may katulong akong Vice Mayor na nagkataon ding doktor,” Moreno added.
The mayor assured that the local government will continue to bring food packs to residents as long as the enhanced community quarantine is in place.
“Bawat pamilya, pipilitin natin. ‘Yun ang greatest goal of the city government in the coming weeks,” he said.
