Ayuda habang walang pasada! Abby Binay gives P2,000 aid to Makati jeep drivers


Makati Mayor Abby Binay has ordered the distribution of P2,000 financial aid to each of the city’s 2,000 jeepney drivers amid the suspension of public transportation as part of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

The cash aid will benefit 1,826 Makati Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association (JODA) and 5,926 registered tricycle drivers.

Binay said the financial assistance will help the affected drivers tide their families over until the quarantine is lifted. She assured that the city government will continue to help residents during the crisis, as many of them are forced to stay at their homes.

Jeepney drivers can apply for financial assistance by registering via: They can also call through the designated hotline for help in each barangay, or submit an application form.

The cash assistance will be given straight to the driver at his home if his application is approved.
