Alfred Vargas tells DOTr to provide shuttles for hospital workers amid quarantine
Trapping health workers from reporting for duty is the worst thing this Luzon shutdown did.
Actor now Quezon City Congressman Alfred Vargas appealed for help from the Department of Transportation now that even nurses, doctors, and hospital staff are having the hardest time to get to work and treat coronavirus and other patients.
“I am humbly urging @MMDA, @DOTrPH, and the LGUs to mobilize their assets and provide free shuttle services especially to medical professionals. Let this be our way to support the priceless dedication of our heroes in the medical field during this #COVID19PH health crisis,” the politiko said in a tweet.
Vice President Leni Robredo’s office got P2P buses as shuttle services as the promised commute options from local government units remain in the works.
