The local government of Taguig has required all visitors to the city hall and satellite offices at SM Aura Tower in Bonifacio Global CIty (BGC) to undergo mandatory temperature screening amid a worldwide coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.

The city government has purchased thermal scanners to check the body temperature of visitors and city hall employees.

Those with temperatures of 38 degrees and higher will be advised to postpone transactions or refrain from clocking in at work until their temperature goes down.

The DOH announced last week three new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of patients in the country to six.

Apart from the mandatory temperature screening, the city government is continuously briefing sectors of society such as schools, hospitals, private clinics, hotels, and others on the virus and on how to guard against it.
