Bantay COVID-19: Abby Binay orders POGOs to list employees from China, Macau, HK
Makati Mayor Abby Binay has ordered all businesses in the city, including Philippine Offshore gaming Operators (POGOs), to submit to the local government a list of their employees who recently traveled to China, Hong Kong and Macau.
Binay issued the order as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a statement posted on Makati’s official Facebook page, City Administrator Claro Certeza said businesses must submit hard and soft copies of the list to the Makati Health Department weekly.
Businesses which fail to comply with the order to submit the list of their employees will have their permits revoked.
Binay has placed Makati’s health and rescue personnel on high alert status due to the threat of COVID-19.
Among the precautionary measures taken by the city against the disease include checking employees and visitors to the city hall for fever using an infrared thermometer.
