Ruffy Biazon said national security couldd be at greater risk if the Philippines so decides to end the Visiting Forces Agreement with the United States.

Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon turned vocal about the Duterte administration’s plan to end the military deal, saying the country could be exposed to so much more problems.

“I am truly concerned about the gap in our country’s counter-terrorism efforts with the scrapping of the VFA,” the politiko said in a tweet, even flagging risks regarding the West Philippine Sea.

“With regard to WPS, I believe the US will maintain its presence through FONOPS in order to keep Chinese dominance at bay. But of course, their reduced, if not complete absence in PH territory will be a gap we will need to fill by investing in naval & air defense,” he added.
