Miro Quimbo’s virtual Pag IBIG portal finally comes to life

0

It took a private banker and a decade of work to make this project happen.

Former Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo had a homecoming of sorts as he attended an event of the Pag IBIG Fund, an agency he used to head before his foray into politics.

He was all smiles upon seeing the Virtual Pag IBIG portal come to life, which was apparently his pet project to digitize all records and make transactions available online.

“We started the system migration when I was still with the Fund in 2008. Back then, we entrusted our future to an upstart VP who I recruited from a private bank. I managed to convince him to leave his high paying job to create a legacy for millions OF members,” Quimbo said about his successor who carried out the project.

“Not only did he succeed in creating a new data base and information system but he would later on bring the Fund to record heights as its CEO. Congratulations Acmad,” he added.
