Over 4,000 teachers in Taguig City had a day-long respite from the rigors of school work through the tribute organized by House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano.
From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., teachers enjoyed free wellness services such as haircuts, manicure and massage at the Cayetano Sports Complex.
In the afternoon, they watched a fun-filled program featuring celebrities, the Speaker, Mayor Lino Cayetano and Vice Mayor Ricardo “Ading” Cruz Jr.
The teachers enjoyed song and dance numbers, games and a raffle where gadgets were given away.
All the attendees received tumblers, powerbanks, grocery packages and T-shirts. They are also set to receive their research allowance and regular honoraria for the months of November and December.
