Miro Quimbo brands UST rookie as ‘next Jayson Castro’

This guy’s speed and athleticism reminded him of PBA legends.

Former Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo is still glued to the UAAP men’s basketball finals even if his alma mater’s team didn’t make the cut. The showdown between the UST Growling Tigers and the Ateneo Blue Eagles got him glued, together with the skilled players in the league.

He particularly admired UST’s Mark Nonoy, who won the rookie of the year award.

“The next Jason Castro. As long as he keeps his feet on the ground and listens to his coaches, he’s destined for great things. His speed is reminiscent of the legendary Yoyong Martirez,” Quimbo said about Nonoy, comparing him of two big guns in the pro league.
