Rico Golez elated to visit PhlPost office: Reminds me of dad!


Paranaque City Vice Mayor Rico Golez is grateful to the Philippine Postal Corporation (PhlPost) for inviting him to its Manila office recently.

Golez graced an event of PhlPost with former Supreme Court Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin, who also lives in Paranaque.

In a Facebook post, the vice mayor shared that it was in PhlPost that his late father, Roilo Golez, shot to prominent as the youngest postmaster in the ‘80s.

Golez said it was his father who established Project Mercury, which allowed for a 24-hour lead time for the delivery of mails within Metro Manila.

“Natuwa ako dahil eto ang unang pagkakataon na ako ay na imbita sa Post Office,” the vice mayor said.

Ako ay lubos na nagpapa salamat sa PHILPOST sa pag imbita sa akin sa kanilang okasyon etong hapon…. nakasama ko pa si…
