Photo finish! DPWH completes Kaingin Road’s rehab in time for All Saints’ Day
Motorists passing through Kaingin Road in Parañaque City on All Saints’ Day or All Souls’ Day will experience some relief as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) already completed its repair.
DPWH Secretary Mark Villar on October 29 inspected Kaingin Road with city officials and executives of the Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC).
Villar said DPWH rushed the repair of Kaingin Road since an estimated 89,000 vehicles pass through it daily.
“Kaingin has been a choke point ever since, even before C5 Link Expressway started construction. By way of helping the community, CIC agreed to extend their assistance. With the repairs done, the traffic flow will be eased,” he said.
CIC president and general manager Bobby Bontia said the company helped in repairing Kaingin Road as part of its responsibility to the community.
“We had the area studied by our traffic team and repairing the road should immediately be done to help ease traffic in this area,” he said.
