Joy Belmonte wants DA to clarify if QC hog raisers also getting P5K cash aid: Kala ko wala kayong pera?

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte has asked the Department of Agriculture (DA) to clarify who will be getting the P5,000 cash assistance for hog raisers whose pigs have been culled over fears of African swine fever (ASF).

Belmonte said Wednesday that some hog raisers in Quezon City are now expecting to get an additional P5,000 from DA in addition to the P3,000 released by the local government as financial aid.

The DA raised the amount of financial assistance it is giving to affected hog raisers from P3,000 after getting the approval of the Department of Budget and Management.

The financial aid will be sourced from the emergency funds of the Office of the President.
