Roderick Paulate lands spot in PH cinema luminaries

The actor and politiko has been recognized for his contributions to the local film industry.

Former Quezon City Councilor Roderick Paulate might have lost his vice mayoral run, but he’s finding his way back into his first love: acting.

Paulate was acknowledged by the Film Development Council of the Philippines for this year’s Sine Sandaan, where he was acknowledged as a “luminary.” The award was in recognition of his “distinctive work, artistry and service to the Philippine cinema.”

This moved Paulate, a long-time actor and comedian before he entered politics.

“Maraming salamat FDCP sa pagkilala. Ikinagagalak ito ng aking puso. Salamat Chairwoman Liza Diño-Seguerra. Mabuhay ang Pelikulang Pilipino!,” he said.
