Laking tulong! Toby Tiangco joins distribution of OWWA assistanceto OFW families
Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco led city officials in witnessing the ceremonial distribution of livelihood assistance from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to 12 families of overseas Filipino workers.
The OFW families received P10,000 worth of groceries for sari-sari store from the through the OWWA’s Balik-Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay Program.
OWWA’s livelihood assistance program is aimed at providing immediate relief to returning OFWs who were displaced from their jobs due to political conflict or policy changes in their host countries.
Victims of illegal recruitment and/or human trafficking are also eligible to receive assistance from OWWA.
Active and non-active members of OWWA can be beneficiaries of the Balik-Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay Program.
