Valenzuela city gov’t taps e-trikes for free P2P shuttle service
Commuting in Valenzuela City just got easier with the luanch of a free point to point (P2P) shuttle service using e-trikes.
The city government on September 5 launched the free shuttle service at the Valenzuela Gateway Complex (VGC) in Barangay Paso De Blas.
Twenty e-trike units from the Department of Energy will be shuttling commuters from VGC to select local tricycle terminals.
Commuters need not pay a cent since the tricycle drivers are employed by the city government.
The use of e-trikes is one of the initiatives that Valenzuela City is doing to be a green city.
In 2018, it ranked second in Southeast Asia in terms of having the cleanest air, based on the Air Quality Report of IQ AirVisual and Greenpeace.
