Educational trip: Rico Golez brings family to see Binangonan Petroglyphs
Parañaque City Vice Mayor Rico Golez brought his family out of Manila for a day of fun and learning last month.
The Golezes visited Rizal to see the Angono-Binangonan Petroglyphs, which are over 3,000 years old.
Golez looked at awe at the petroglyphs, which consist of 127 human and animal drawings engraved and carved during the late Neolithic Age.
They are considered as one of the most important archeological discoveries in the Philippines, as well one of the country’s oldest known artwork.
Given the age of the petroglyphs, Golez couldn’t help but wonder who drew them.
“Sino kaya mga to at saan na kaya napunta mga lahi nila…..,” he asked in a Facebook post.
