Alfred Vargas knows school assignments are important

There’s enough evidence to suggest that learning must go beyond class hours.

Actor turned Quezon City Congressman Alfred Vargas is against the proposed ban on take-home assignments in school, now that the debate has been revived with a new bill filed in Congress.

Vargas found an ally in netizen Gideon Peña, who said that students learn a lot when they do their work at their own time and pace.

“Agree! Assignments are an integral part of learning,” Vargas said.

“In fact, recent models like the Dynamic Learning Program suggest that homework, when regulated w/ enough time for family & exp learning, lead to more students exceling in class,” he went on.

Will it boil down to a vote?
