Paano matetepok ang lamok? Lino Cayetano meets with local health board to address dengue crisis
Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano convened the Local Health Board Tuesday to discuss how the city government could fight dengue following the Department of Health’s declaration of a national epidemic.
During the meeting, the Local Health Board updated Cayetano on its interventions against dengue, which includes simultaneous cleanup drives, and a massive information dissemination.
The city government has set August 16 as a Dengue Cleanup Day in all public schools, health centers, Super Health Centers, Taguig-Pateros District Hospital, barangay halls, City Hall and all government facilities.
The event, which will start at 4 p.m., encourages residents and communities to participate in the cleanup.
The Local Health Board continues to remind residents to implement the “Enhanced 4S,” which stands for searching and destroying mosquito breeding sites; seeking early consultation for illness; self-protection; and saying “yes” to fogging only in hotspot areas where dengue cases rise for two consecutive weeks.
