Vico Sotto orders physical recount of Pasig supplies after damning COA report
You just know that ex-Mayor Bobby Eusebio was dead wrong for bragging about the “qualified opinion” that Pasig got from the Commission on Audit (COA).
New Mayor Vico Sotto decided to step in and make public his interventions at the city hall after COA’s annual audit report discovered some fishy items within the complex.
Sotto shared that he had ordered moratorium on all procurement processes of a certain department which was discovered to have P1.464 billion worth of supplies which could not be accounted for. As work stops, Sotto ordered a physical counting of all supplies to address the adverse finding.
This also means they can’t buy new stuff until the matter is resolved.
Accountants and auditors were in disbelief online when Eusebio bragged about getting a “qualified” tag from COA, schooling him that it’s far from good.
