Sinong nagpatapon? Isko Moreno orders probe on food supplies dumped in Boystown

Incoming Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso will launch an investigation into the dumping of food supplies in a ten-foot hole inside Manila Boystown.

Domagoso saw the discarded food items when he visited the Manila Boystown compound Monday in response to a citizen’s report about the dumping.

During the inspection, heaps of rice, sugar, coffee, noodles, oatmeal and chocolate were discovered buried inside the hole. The food supplies were already separated from their respective packaging when they were discarded.

Upon examination of the discarded packaging, Domagoso found that the food products have not yet expired.

“Hindi pa pala sira ang mga pagkain na ito. Maayos at mapapakinabangan pa ito ng mga bata at matanda na nakatira sa Boystown na walang makain. Malinaw na isang uri ito ng pagsabotahe sa pamahalaan ng Lungsod ng Maynila,” he said.

Domagoso said the investigation on the dumping of food supplies will start when he assumes office in July. He said he will ensure those responsible for discarding the food items will be held accountable.
