Muntinlupa City Rep. Ruffy Biazon can’t understand why erring drivers apprehended at Skyway need to drive all the way to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) head office in Quezon City to claim their licenses.

Biazon aired his frustration at the inconvenience caused by Skyway’s policy in a tweet addressed to its management Sunday.

“Dear Skyway, we understand that you need to implement a speed limit regulation. But why is it that confiscated licenses are claimed at LTO head office in Timog. Most, if not all skyway users are from the South. Isn’t the fine & confiscation enough inconvenience already?” he asked.

While Biazon did not say if he had experienced having his license confiscated at Skyway, he believes there is a way to lessen the inconvenience for the erring drivers.

The management of Skyway imposed a 100 kilometers per hour speed limit for cars, and a 60 kilometers per hour maximum speed for buses and other public utility vehicles.
