Making Sonny proud: Joy vows to continue ‘Belmonte brand’ of leadership
Quezon City vice mayor Joy Belmonte has pledged to continue her family’s “brand” of leadership that’s free of corruption should her mayoralty bid succeed.
Several non-commissioned surveys show Belmonte enjoying a sizeable lead over her opponents, Quezon City Rep. Bingbong Crisologo and former Rep. Chuck Mathay.
Pantay-pantay, walang palakasan—‘yan ang Belmonte brand,” the vice mayor said.
Belmonte said she is thankful to Quezon City voters for placing their trust in her, as shown in the surveys’ results.
Belmonte, the daughter of former city mayor and outgoing Congressman Sonny Belmonte, vowed to strictly implement the ordinances passed by the Quezon City Council under her supervision as presiding officer, concurrent with her term as vice mayor.
