Maaga ang bakasyon! Erap suspends work in Manila gov’t offices on Holy Wednesday
Public sector employees in Manila can start their Holy Week break early after Mayor Joseph Estrada declared a suspension of work in government offices on Holy Wednesday, April 17.
Estrada said the suspension of work will allow local government employees to prepare ahead of the commemoration of Holy Week.
Covered by the work suspension are the government offices, departments at bureaus of the Manila city government.
Authorities earlier said they expect traffic leading to transport terminals and highways going out of Metro Manila to worsen on Holy Wednesday, the last working day before the Holy Week break.
