Balik sa kalsada! Angkas to offer free rides to commuters affected by Tandang Sora flyover closure on March 4
The motorcycle-hailing app Angkas has found a way for its riders to be back on the road even though its operations are still suspended because of a Supreme Court order.
Quezon City Rep. Winnie Castelo announced on his Facebook page that Angkas will offer free rides on Monday, March 4, to commuters who will be stranded due to the closure of the Tandang Sora flyover starting this weekend.
Angkas riders will pick up passengers at the following booking areas: UP Town Center, Tandang Sora intersection eastbound and westbound, Puregold and New Era high school.
Passengers can be dropped off anywhere along the prescribed routes set by Angkas.
Those interested to ride for free on the motorcycles do not need to make a booking via the app. Details about the offer are available from the attendants who will man the booking areas.
The Tandang Sora flyover and intersection have been closed to traffic starting Saturday for the construction of the MRT-7 railway line.
