Magbayad para mabusog: Abby Binay offers free lunch for early bird taxpayers
In Makati City, there’s such a thing as free lunch– if you’re early at the city hall to pay business taxes.
Mayor Abby Binay has announced that the city government will provide free lunch packs daily for the first 200 taxpayers who will pay their dues at the Business Tax Division.
The free lunch will be given to the early bird taxpayers on weekdays from January 7 to 18.
Those who qualify for the free meal will be given a lunch stub by the cashier after paying his or her business taxes. The taxpayer just needs to show the paper to the personnel at the City Hall Building II’s ground floor lobby to get the food.
Aside from the free food, Binay said cookies and coffee are available to all taxpayers who will pay their taxes at the Business Tax Division and Realty Tax Division from Monday to Friday until January 18.
All frontline offices of the city government whose functions are related to the payment of business taxes and the issuance of business permits have extended their operating hours to 10 p.m. to give taxpayers ample time to settle their dues.
The special operating hours for the offices will remain in effect until January 20, the deadline for the assessment of business permits and the payment of both business taxes and realty taxes.
