Parañaque ‘lucky’ to be home of 2 Chief Justices- Edwin Olivarez

Parañaque mayor Edwin Olivarez is thankful that two Supreme Court Chief Justices have called the city their home.

Olivarez got the chance to mingle with Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin recently at the testimonial dinner organized for him by the BF Federation of Homeowner Associations, Inc. (BFFHAI).

The mayor joined BF Homes residents in giving a toast to Bersamin, who was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as Chief Justice in November.

In a Facebook post, Olivarez said Parañaque is “lucky” that it has two Chief Justices as residents.

“Napakapalad ng Lungsod ng Parañaque sa pagkakaroon ng magkasunod na Punong Mahistrado as former CJ Teresita de Castro is from Brgy.Don Galo & CJ Lucas Bersamin is from Brgy.BF,” he said.

De Castro was Bersamin’s predecessor. She served as Chief Justice for only over a month.
